About

Hello.

My name is Jessica Driscoll. My parents swear they didn’t know, in 1981, that it would be the most popular name of the decade. But the name was invented by Shakespeare, and that makes up for a lot.

I live in the suburbs outside Vancouver, BC. I don’t drive, and I love public transit. Really.

I used to blog like everyone else. Now I just Twitter.

I’ve kept a regular notebook since December 1999, but, in that same time, I’ve had many many blogs. The notebooks are a catchall, but The Index is about the ideas that stick around. I make plans. I do research. I write and I daydream. Sometimes, I finish what I start. (To follow on Livejournal, add ljuser=houseoftext.)

Most everything I post on facts are nothing isn’t mine, but it’s the stuff I love and I always give credit. Where The Index is about what I’m trying to write, facts are nothing is about what’s distracting me from that writing.

I decided to review every song on my iPod @ 11days, and I’m too stubborn to give up until I make to to Z. (To follow on Livejournal, add ljuser=11straightdays.)

Flickr is more than self-portraits and family snapshots. You can see my notebooks, and Live is all about concerts.

I’m a big nerd, who likes TV and projects, and, when those things come together, you get The Jerry Bruckheimer Guest Star Ranch.

Wait. There’ll be another Threadless $10 sale soon.

Everything else you might want to know about me is in the stuff I add to my wishlist, the sites I bookmark at del.icio.us, and the music I listen to at last.fm.

I share bandwidth with my friend, Jackie, and her paintings.

I prefer email to comments (factsarenothing @ gmail.com). Don’t phone. I won’t answer.
